HP Cine -Error HP 5500 D.2

I run diagnostics and it gives me
D0A03-0018  Tcine-VCR analog failure.

I have replaced the Cine, video i/o, reloaded software and problem continues. VCR is turned off. Any ideas where the problem could be.

Does the VCR playback and record work? If not, have you tried the VCR on another machine? That is the first place I would start.
 
From there, please reference the attached block diagram which should help you narrow it down.

Really the unit did not have a vcr, and it was turned off on the configuration. After your reply we decided to plug a VCR and certainly the error disappeared when connecting the VCR.
